Happy New Year, it's the Spiral Earth Awards 2010. If you're snowed in why not take a minute to vote for John Jones (Oysters frontman) who has been nominated in two categories; Best Original Song and Best Male Singer.
You can also vote in fifteen other categories that celebrate the rich diversity of the current folk, roots and acoustic scene. The voting is very simple, just click a checkbox and a submit button on as many categories as you like, you don't have to register, log in or send any of your money!
The Spiral Earth awards exist to celebrate the diversity of music that is featured on the site www.spiralearth.co.uk and focuses on musicians and groups that are keeping folk and roots music alive whether that is through tradtional arrangements or stepping out in bold new directions.
The crucial thing about these awards is that the winners will all be decided by public vote!
You have until the 12th February 2010 to cast your votes and the awards will be made soon after.
